3D Enviroment - Floating Merchant House

ORIGINAL CONCEPT ART BY ELENA SAVOSTIKOVA - "Floating Merchant House"

This project was made during my first term in my Environment Modeling class. I’ve always liked seaside houses as a concept, and when I found Elena’s concept art something about it pulled me in right away.

This was my second time working with a modular workflow. Most of the structure,floor, crates, and tables were built using only six different plank variations. By changing scale and shapes using the same six planks, I was able to achieve a look close to what the original concept was aiming for. The project was focused purely on modeling so there was no work or set up for materials.

Even with the modular approach, I’m proud of the overall result.
